Our changing food chain (Sark octopus fisherman)

One day back in April 2026, I went on board Jordan de Carteret’s boat to watch him potting for octopus East of Sark. Our traditional ways of life now face an uncertain future due to climate change and overfishing.

Through my work, I aim to acknowledge the resilience of my fellow islanders, while documenting the changes they are now experiencing.

I am delighted to have this piece selected for this year’s Society of Wildlife Artists exhibition.
