La Monnaie Chapel, Guernsey
The history of this Chapel is fascinating and the inside is simply beautiful. I painted solidly for four hours. The tiny chapel holds just 40 people and was designed and built entirely by Guernsey people. The stained glass was designed by local artist Mary Elly de Putron and the east window is in memory of Robin Drake whose life was cut short at the young age of just 24 with the then incurable Hodgkins Lymphoma.
I just want to thank everyone who has followed my January Challenge.
This painting is from day 31 of the Strada Easel Challenge.
