This bay is one of my favourites for swimming in Guernsey at high tide, when the sea comes up over the sand.  I set up my easel at the top of the beach to get out of the wind. Clouds rolling in just as I was finishing the little oil study of the gorgeous sea colours.

This was painted at low tide.
