‘Tonal’ is the polite way of putting the weather today 😂 It’s been raining for most of the day and I needed to get out, even if it was only for a couple of hours painting behind the windscreen of a car!
The umber shoreline between Guernsey’s west coast and that on the east of Lihou Island, submerged on the rising tide, was contrasted with the pale grey sky and sea.
I haven’t painted much from the car but sometimes it works as a back up, the pochade I have can be used on my knees and I have a glass palette inside the bottom for squeezing my water soluble oils on to. Easy to clean up after too.
