No visit to London would be complete for me without a visit to the Mall Galleries. More recently I have been enjoying looking at drawings by Pastel Society members and so today when I got the chance to take a look ‘in the flesh’ I soaked it up!

The breadth of style and subject matter was really exciting to see. I have been to many exhibitions at the Mall but I think that because there has been such a shift in my own work in recent years, I felt a real connection to this exhibition.

Drawing and in particular good observational drawing can tug on the heart strings. It was great to chat with Simon Hodges, the Society’s Vice President about his own work and in particular mixed media. London, it’s been great!
